The redevelopment of Ajni Railway Station under Central Railway’s Nagpur Division is progressing rapidly, marking a significant step towards transforming the station into a modern, commuter-friendly terminal.

Key developments include the nearing completion of the East Side station building, which will offer improved passenger amenities, and two fully constructed Type-IV residential towers for railway staff accommodation. Enhancements to platform infrastructure are underway, with COP columns erected on Platforms 4 and 5, improving shelter and safety for passengers. Additionally, work on the North and South foot overbridges (FOBs) has been completed, improving transit between platforms.

The revamped station will feature better accessibility, reorganised passenger zones, enhanced safety, and a fresh architectural identity. Central Railway has emphasised that the project aims to minimise commuter inconvenience during construction.
