Allied Blenders and Distillers (ABD), a leading IMFL manufacturer, inaugurated a Rs 115 crore PET bottle manufacturing plant at its integrated facility in Rangapur, about 160 km from Hyderabad.
The plant, with a capacity of 600 million bottles annually, aims to reduce dependence on external suppliers and enhance supply chain efficiency. About 480 million bottles will be used on-site. This is part of ABD’s Rs 527 crore capex plan for FY25–FY27, which also includes a new single malt distillery in Rangapur and expansion of a recently acquired ENA distillery in Maharashtra from 11 million to 60 million litres.
The Rangapur facility, acquired in 2017, now includes an ENA distillery, IMFL bottling unit, and the new PET bottling plant, with land available for further expansion. ABD operates two plants in Telangana and owns nine across India, with manufacturing also done at 26 third-party sites.
