Amber Group has entered into a 50 percent joint venture with Radiant Group’s original equipment manufacturer (OEM) Resojet. The JV is for the production of fully automatic washing machines, and woud help both companies to cater to the evolving customer needs and deliver high-quality products.

The room AC contract manufacturer, Amber Group, in its plans to expand its presence in the consumer durables segment plans will move beyond room air conditioners (RAC), RAC components, and non-RAC components, into fully automatic top-load and front-load washing machines and their components.

The JV will facilitate and develop the local manufacturing ecosystem. By partnering with Resojet, the Group will gain access to the former's expertise in manufacturing washing machines, enabling it to offer a wider range of products, add more value for customers and further strengthen its association for various other consumer electronics and durable products. The revenue for this quarter was valued at Rs 1,294.76 crore.

Earlier in January, Amber Group had announced the acquisition a majority stake in Bengaluru-based Ascent Circuit, a manufacturer of Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) which serves various industries, including aerospace and defence.
