The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, on 24 July, 2025 approved investment proposals worth nearly Rs 80,000 crore, aiming to generate employment for 1.5 lakh people across the state.
Announcing the developments, Information and Public Relations Minister K Parthasarathy stated that the initiatives would boost Andhra Pradesh’s position as a prime investment destination. Among the key decisions was the approval for inviting tenders for the Vizag Metro and final approval for the Vijayawada Metro project.
The Cabinet also greenlit the Andhra Pradesh Electronic Components Manufacturing Policy 4.0, targeting the expansion of electronic industries in the region. Parthasarathy highlighted the allocation of 4.45 acres of land to Phenom People in Vizag for an investment of Rs 200 crore. Additionally, 3.6 acres were sanctioned for Sify Infinity Spaces at Madhurawada IT Hill, along with another 50 acres at Paradesipalem in Vizag priced at Rs 50 lakh per acre. These approvals support a Rs 16,466 crore investment to transform Vizag into a major data hub.
These initiatives mark a significant step in Andhra Pradesh’s industrial growth and infrastructure modernization.
