Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has set special focus on the development of ports in the state.
As part of it, an action plan was chalked out for the development of Manchilipatnam, Bhavanapadu, Kakinada SEZ and Ramayampatnam ports.
Eight fishing harbours and four fish landing centres will be developed in a phased manner.
Proposals worth around Rs 1,221 crore were made for the construction of Nijampatnam and Machilipatnam Phase-2, Uppada and Juvvaladinne fishing harbours' development.
Similarly, development plans were made for the fishing harbour at Budagatlapalem in Srikakulam, Pudimadaka in Visakhapatnam district, Biyyaputippa in West Godavari and Vodarevu in Prakasam districts.
