Deendayal Port Authority (DPA) in Kandla has set a new benchmark by achieving the fastest-ever handling of 125 million tonne (MT) of cargo in the current financial year.
With 72 days still remaining, the port is poised to set a record for its highest-ever cargo handling in this financial year. This remarkable achievement highlights the port's operational excellence, robust infrastructure, and seamless coordination among stakeholders. Chairman of DPA, Sushil Kumar Singh further emphasised that this record reinforces Kandla Port’s status as a key driver of India’s maritime growth and economic development.
In related news, a Danish delegation recently visited DPA to discuss strengthening maritime cooperation and exploring sustainable development opportunities, including zero-carbon emissions and the adoption of green technologies.
