Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu outlined plans to develop Amaravati as a central hub in the state’s rail and logistics network, including a bullet train link to the upcoming international airport.
During a review meeting, the CM emphasised integrating Amaravati into high-speed railway corridors between Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai, while also including Tirupati for regional connectivity. He approved land allocation for new terminals in Amaravati and Gannavaram, and highlighted the importance of improving rail links to ports such as Visakhapatnam and Kakinada.
Additionally, CM Naidu directed the development of iconic railway stations in Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Amaravati. Proposals for a Dedicated Freight Corridor and the construction of new railway routes across the state were also discussed. Development work at several stations, including Rajamahendravaram, is expected to be completed before key festivals.
