In a significant step towards developing Amaravati into a modern and inclusive capital city, the Andhra Pradesh government has expedited large-scale construction projects across the region.
Minister for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, P Narayana confirmed that flooring, electrical, plumbing, and finishing works are nearing completion for the residential quarters of MLAs and MLCs. Developed by NCC, this project comprises 12 towers with 288 units, each spanning 3,500 sq. ft. over 10.5 acres. Simultaneously, six towers for All India Services officers with 144 units are progressing rapidly.
KMV Projects is constructing 115 bungalows for Principal Secretaries and Secretariat staff, covering 33.5 acres. BSR Infra is developing 71 high-end bungalows for ministers and judges across 50 acres. L&T is building 21 towers with 1,968 units for Non-Gazetted Officers over 26.5 acres, while SPCL is constructing 1,440 units for Gazetted Officers and Group-D staff across 19 acres. Interior works like painting and waterproofing are ongoing.
Additionally, APCRDA is advancing the HappyNest residential project for the public. With participation from top infrastructure firms, Amaravati is witnessing a construction boom that is expected to transform its skyline and administrative core.
