Animal hospital at Kalamboli, Navi Mumbai is scheduled to come up by 2021. CIDCO had allotted 8,000 sq mtr of land parcel to People for Animals, as NGO to set up the animal hospital. The plot is located adjoining the D-mart in sector 16, Kalamboli.
The NGO has tied up with the Tata Trust to construct the building and provide equipment. The upcoming animal hospital is estimated to be developed at a cost around Rs five crore.
The Tata Trust will construct the building besides providing the medical equipment such as MRI, CT scan. Once built, it will be the largest animal hospital in Navi Mumbai.
The animal hospital will be developed within two years. The arrangement has been made to render free of cost treatment to all types of animals in the hospital.
Of the total animal admission cases, 50 percent of the cost will be borne by CIDCO and balance by the NGO. A nominal fee will be charged for bringing the animals for treatment.
