1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Apollo Hospitals to open 11 new hospitals

The Apollo Hospitals Group plans to set up 11 hospitals by the next financial year 2010-11 at an investment of Rs 1,800 crore.

Besides, the group is mulling to upgrade 20 existing hospitals with advance equipment and technology. This apart, plans are afoot to upgrade four of its nine oncology divisions to super specialty cancer hospitals.

The group is likely to add 1,500 beds in the next fiscal. Currently, it has bed strength of 8,800 which will likely to cross 9,000 soon.

Apollo is likely to launch three new super-specialty cancer hospitals. The hospital with Novalis TX, the latest technology in treatment of cancer, is to be opened on 20 March 2010 at Secunderabad. The 100-bed super specialty hospital has been set up with an investment of Rs 100 crore. Similar facilities are coming up in Kolkata and Delhi as well.
