Apollo Micro Systems (AMS) has launched plans for a Rs 1,500 crore greenfield expansion in Telangana, aimed at establishing advanced manufacturing facilities for missile warheads, rocket motors, and complete armament systems.
This significant investment will enhance AMS’s production capacity and strengthen its portfolio of high-precision indigenous defence technologies. The new facilities will focus on producing and assembling missile warheads, artillery systems across various calibres, and ammunition, creating an integrated ecosystem under one roof.
The expansion is aligned with the Aatmanirbhar Bharat mission, enhancing India's defence manufacturing self-reliance and national security. AMS’s Managing Director, Karunakar Reddy, emphasised that the project would elevate the company's technological capabilities, positioning it to meet growing demand in India’s defence sector. This strategic expansion aims to strengthen supply chain resilience and solidify AMS’s leadership in the indigenous defence ecosystem.
