Apollo Micro Systems (AMSL) is planning to set up a defence equipment manufacturing facility in Telangana at an investment of Rs 150 crore. The proposed facility will come up on an area of three lakh sq. ft. in Hardware Park, Hyderabad. The 'Bhumi Pooja' for the plant will be performed very soon, with project completion set at nine months.
The facility will include a clean room dedicated to the production of Inertial Systems, RF Systems, and Space Applications. This new facility will expand the company's infrastructure by an additional 3,00,000 sq. ft., enhancing its capacity for defence electronics and electro-mechanical manufacturing, especially for bulk production.
The company recently incorporated a wholly-owned subsidiary, Apollo Defence Industries, to take forward its plans, by forging alliances and technological partnerships with international companies to provide cutting-edge defence solutions within a comprehensive ecosystem. Apollo Micro Systems has also inked multiple transfer of technology (ToT) agreements with the Defense Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
Furthermore, it will be equipped with comprehensive environmental test facilities, including EMI-EMC facilities accredited by NABL Laboratories, including testing and calibration of navigational systems like INS, IMU, AHRS, and more. It is also in discussions with international companies interested in manufacturing their products under the 'Make in India' initiative.
Apollo Micro Systems specializes in electronic manufacturing, hardware designing, weapon integration, and others.
