Apollo Microsystems conducted the foundation stone laying and groundbreaking ceremony for its Integrated Plant for Ingenious Defence Systems (IPiDS) on 19 February, 2024. The facility is located at the Aerospace Park in TSIIC Hardware Park-2 in Hyderabad, Telangana. Principal Secretary of the Industries & Commerce (I&C) Department of the Telangana government, Jayesh Ranjan was present.
In this new manufacturing facility with a proposed total built up area of 3,50.000 sqft, the company will be investing over Rs 200 crore and providing employment to about 400 people in three years.
Apollo Microsystems is entering its 40 year of operations this year. The company is one of the first private companies in Hyderabad to work for Department of Space and Defence offering design services. It has a strong R&D team making great contribution to indigenisation of technologies for land air and sea applications.
Hyderabad has emerged as a preferred aerospace manufacturing hub for global OEMs such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Airbus, Safran, GE Aviation.
