Areva T&D has bagged Balance of Plant (BoP) contract worth Rs 130 crore from
the GMR Group.
The contract is for the supply and installation of electrical BoP solutions
for the 600 MW (2x300 MW) thermal power plant in Warora taluka, Chandrapur
district of Maharashtra.
Areva will manufacture and install a 400/220 kV air-insulated substations as
well as power and distribution transformers and switchgear equipments. The plant
is likely to be commissioned in September 2011.
