Areva T&D India on 14 July 2010 commissioned the Main Receiving Substation (MRSS)
for the power supply to the new terminal (T3) of Indira Gandhi International
Airport in New Delhi.
The company has designed and supplied the MRSS that comprises of 66 kV four
bay substation, 220 numbers of 11 kV panels and more than 300 km of 11 kV HT
cable to distribute power at various consumer points spread across the terminal.
The project scope also included design, supply and commissioning of emergency
back-up power of 42 MVA diesel generators, including, civil works, bulk fuel
storage / handling, building acoustics, heating, ventilating, air Conditioning,
firefighting, illumination, etc.
