Arshiya International has received the formal approval from the Board of
Approval (BOA) of SEZs for setting up its second free trade and warehousing zone
(FTWZ) in the heart of the manufacturing hub in the NCR in Khurja, Uttar
Pradesh.
Arshiya`s FTWZ is strategically located connecting the Western and Eastern
freight corridors. The company will be investing into the FTWZ in a phased
manner and the first phase is expected to be operational by December 2009.
The company plans to invest in creating a dedicated rail terminal with the FTWZ
in Khurja that will allow pan-India connectivity for its customers through its
rail infrastructure service that began operations earlier this month. It has
already received the formal approval of the BOA for its first FTWZ at Mumbai in
December 2008 and is expected to be commissioned by September 2009.
