Commercial vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland has bagged a contract from Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) for 1,282 fully built buses.
As per the agreement, the company will supply 55-seater fully assembled BS-VI diesel buses in a phased manner. Further, this will also enable the company to strengthen its position in the Indian bus market.
Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has a long-running association with Ashok Leyland, and over 2,600 buses are being operated by GSRTC.
With the consistent track record of delivering high-performance vehicles, the company's latest contract secured from State Transport Undertakings has reached to 4,000 buses.
