Assotech plans to develop a 400-bed hospital in Patna in Bihar, at an
investment of Rs 150 crore.
The hospital christened as Medilifecare Multispeciality Hospital is expected
to open to the public by December 2012. For the management of the hospital, the
company is likely to adopt a co-ownership model with doctors. While Assotech
will hold a 60 per cent stake in the hospital, the rest will be given to the
doctors.
Two-thirds of the investment for the project is likely to be met through bank
loans and the remaining from the promoters, which includes Assotech and the
partner doctors.
