Astonfield Renewable Resources today said it has signed an agreement with
Spanish firm Grupo T-Solar Global SA for setting up a power generation capacity
of 200 MW in India by 2015.
Astonfield will deploy T-Solar's thin film modules for the projects. Both the
partners will invest $600 million (approx Rs 2,670 crore) in these projects. All
these projects will be developed on a 70:30 debt-equity ratio. Of the proposed
200 MW generation capacity, four projects of a total generation capacity of 32
MW, comprising five MW each at Osian, Rajasthan and Bankura, West Bengal, 10 MW
at Handikund, Karnataka, and the rest 11.5 MW at Kachchh, Gujarat, are under
various stages of development. Both the companies plan to commission them by
March 2012.
