AstorMueller AG, the Swiss footwear conglomerate behind premium European brands such as bugatti, TT.BAGATT, and Salamander, has announced the formation of its Indian joint venture, nuvora, in collaboration with Gaurik Group. The strategic alliance underscores AstorMueller’s intent to tap into the country’s vast consumer potential and growing appetite for premium international products.
The joint venture aims to roll out a multi-channel retail strategy, combining both digital and brick-and-mortar formats to penetrate India's top 20 cities. As part of its initial expansion phase, nuvora plans to launch 10 to 12 exclusive bugatti brand stores within the current financial year. CEO of nuvora, Sandip Baksi emphasised the importance of a hyper-localised approach for a market as diverse and expansive as India.
The Gaurik Group brings to the table its deep experience in the premium retail space, operating exclusive outlets for numerous global brands across the country. Its local insight and established retail footprint are expected to play a critical role in accelerating nuvora’s growth trajectory. CEO of AstorMueller India, Sirish Kumar expressed strong confidence in the collaboration, stating, “We see immense potential in this partnership and are confident that it will redefine the premium footwear landscape in India.”
The initiative signals a major step forward in the international expansion of the company’s core brands, driven by the country’s upwardly mobile population and increasing demand for high-quality fashion and lifestyle products.
