Avery Dennison, a pressure-sensitive label and packaging materials company, has completed expansion of its production facility in Pune, Maharashtra.
The company has invested Rs 1,000 crore for this expansion. The Pune facility produces technically advanced pressure-sensitive materials for labeling and packaging material with the total capacity of 350 million sq mtrs. The company has also set up a new innovation center in Pune and a knowledge center in Bangalore. The Pune innovation centre will be operationalised by June 2012. The innovation center will provide dedicated research and innovation development services for Indian converters and original equipment manufacturers, while simultaneously providing growth opportunities for India’s pressure-sensitive labeling industry. It already has two plants in Gurgaon (Haryana) and a recently commissioned distribution center in Bangalore.
