The company is already in the midst of
developing a 7,000 tccpd greenfield sugar project at Mankpur in Uttar Pradesh.
Two other projects of 7,000 tccpd each are shaping up at Akbarpur and Datauli.
All the three projects are scheduled to commission by November 2006.
Balrampur Chini is poised to have a
total sugar capacity of around 75,000 tccpd by September 2007 when all the
ongoing projects are completed. This capacity would also include 7,500 tccpd
from Dhampur Sugar Mills' Rauzagaon unit in Uttar Pradesh that Balrampur Chini
is in the process of acquiring.
