Bambino Agro Industries would set up a pasta manufacturing facility at Gohana, Sonipat in Haryana.
The company management has proposed to acquire a pasta plant from Italy with a capacity of 2,000 kg per hour for setting up a manufacturing facility with a total capex around Rs 24 crore at Gohana.
The existing capacity of the pasta plant is 2,000 kg per hour at Gurgaon with capacity utilization of 95 percent.
The expansion project currently underway is 3,000 kg per hour pasta plant at Sonipet. Presently commercial production has not commenced and is expected to commence around November 2021.
The 2000 kg per hour pasta plant at Sonipet is expected to commence around April 2022. The capex will be funded through financing from banks, promoters and internal accruals.
The Board of Directors has also reviewed and decided to discontinue the two smaller lines of production i.e. 600 kg per hour plants at Gurgaon as the plants have been giving quality issues due to aging.
Moreover, non-utilisation of these plants will not have any impact on volumes/ production of the company because third party manufacturing/ conversion contracts are in place to cater to the demand.
