Bhartiya International, a textile major, is planning to set up a township project ‘Bharatiya City’ in Bangalore district of Karnataka.
Bhartiya International plans to invest $1 billion (approx Rs 5,393.30 crore) in the township project, Bhartiya City will spread over 125 acre and developed under phases. The project involves apartment blocks, multiplexes, malls, office buildings, five star hotels, schools and hospitals. It is expected to be commissioned by 2024. Phase I of the project consists of 2,400 homes. The project will be funded by a consortium of banks, while the acquisition of the land has been funded entirely by the company.
The township project will spread over eight districts and the residential project is named as Nikoo Homes. The total saleable area of the entire project is 18 million sq ft and the buildable area is 27.6 million sq ft.
