Nara Lokesh, Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics, performed the Bhoomi Pooja for IT companies at IT Hills in Visakhapatnam, marking the beginning of several major investments in the region.
The new projects, involving companies like Sails Software Solutions, iSpace Software Solutions, Tech Tammina, Phenom People, and World Trade Center, are set to generate 30,000 direct employment. These firms plan to invest Rs 3,800 crore in Visakhapatnam, further establishing the city as a growing hub for IT and electronics.
Lokesh emphasized Andhra Pradesh's "Speed of Doing Business" and highlighted global interest from companies like Google and ArcelorMittal. He stated the government's mission to create 20 lakh jobs in the state, with a focus on industrial and technological growth. The development of Visakhapatnam as a major AI and IT center is a priority, with the Bhogapuram International Airport scheduled for completion in 2026.
