The New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh has issued a tender for the selection of a development partner for setting up Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) to energy processing facility in Nellore.
The construction of the waste-to-energy (WtE) facility will be on a design, build, finance, operate, and transfer (DBFOT) mode for obligated quantity of MSW. Valued at Rs 200 crore, the contract includes the construction and operation of MSW processing units, a waste-to-energy facility, and a scientific landfill for residual waste disposal.
The oncessionaire will be required to achieve the COD of the WtE facility within 24 months from the effective date and will operate and maintain it for a period of 25 years thereafter. The bid submission deadline is 19 March 2025.
