Blue Energy Motors, India’s pioneering manufacturer of zero-emissions heavy-duty trucks, has delivered a fleet of LNG-powered trucks to Inland World Logistics, marking the logistics company’s first major move toward sustainable transportation.
The handover ceremony took place at Blue Energy Motors’ Chakan plant in Pune. This delivery highlights Blue Energy Motors’ growing role in decarbonising freight transport by making liquefied natural gas (LNG) a viable alternative to diesel. The trucks provide 30 percent lower CO2 emissions without compromising on payload or performance. Their reduced operational costs make them attractive to environmentally conscious logistics operators striving for ESG-aligned efficiency.
With over 800 LNG trucks already on Indian roads, Blue Energy Motors' fleet has collectively traveled over 50 million km, resulting in carbon savings of approx. 14,000 tonne—equivalent to the annual carbon absorption of more than 5,60,000 trees.
