SAIL's Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) has entered into a strategic partnership with HSCC India, to establish a 150-bed super speciality hospital at Bokaro General Hospital (BGH). The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was formalised on 13 January, 2025. This initiative aims to significantly enhance healthcare services for both BSL employees and the broader community.
The upcoming facility will provide advanced medical care across several key disciplines, including cardiology, neurology, oncology, nephrology, gastroenterology, endocrinology, and critical care. The project is planned in two phases. The initial phase involves developing a draft project report, creating a concept plan, and identifying operation & maintenance (O&M) partners. Upon successful completion of this stage, the second phase will encompass the design, construction, and eventual handover of the hospital to the selected O&M partner.
HSCC India, renowned for its expertise in healthcare infrastructure, will ensure that the project adheres to the highest standards of medical excellence. This collaboration underscores BSL's commitment to corporate social responsibility, showcasing its dedication to uplifting community welfare and healthcare access in Bokaro.
Once operational, the Super Speciality Hospital is expected to transform the region's healthcare landscape, offering cutting-edge medical services and setting new benchmarks for corporate-driven healthcare initiatives.
