Brahmaputra Infrastructure, in joint venture with GHV Infra Projects, has received a letter of acceptance (LoA) for the procurement of works related to underwater and above-water riverbank protection works in Assam.
The site in Jorhat subproject (Sivasagar, Jorhat and Golaghat districts), is under Package No. W-AF-03-RP-JH, Lot 1. The contract, valued at Rs 62.03 crore, is part of the ADB-funded Climate Resilient Brahmaputra Integrated Flood and Riverbank Erosion Risk Management Project. The scope of the project includes riverbank protection works in Sivasagar, Jorhat, and Golaghat districts, with specific tasks assigned to Section 1 for underwater protection and Section 2 for above-water protection.
The company has also received another contract, valued at Rs 68.91 crore,under Lot 2 of the Package. The works will significantly contribute to enhancing the region's resilience to riverbank erosion and floods, which have long been a challenge for local communities.
