On January 18, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah launched development works worth Rs 323.04 crore in the Varuna Assembly constituency in Mysuru.
Speaking at an event organized by the Mysuru district administration and zilla panchayat at Kupya village, he highlighted that this was part of a series of ongoing development efforts in the region. CM Siddaramaiah shared that, over the past three years, a total of Rs 1,932 crore worth of development projects have been launched in Varuna constituency alone, with Rs 501 crore in 2024 and Rs 1,108 crore in 2025. He emphasised that despite spending Rs 1,15,000 crore on five guarantee schemes, equal attention is being given to development projects.
One key initiative is the foundation for a new hospital, which will focus on de-addiction and be modeled after NIMHANS at a cost of Rs 100 crore. The CM also reaffirmed his commitment to improving healthcare and infrastructure in Mysuru district.
