CWD, a global IoT design house specialising in wireless technologies, has announced that its consortium with Digismart Network has secured a letter of award (LoA) from the Government of Goa – Electricity Department. The award pertains to the “Appointment of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Service Provider for Smart Prepaid Metering in India on DBFOOT basis.”
Under this transformative project, the consortium will deploy and maintain nine lakh smart prepaid electricity meters across Goa. This initiative aims to modernise Goa’s electricity metering infrastructure through cutting-edge IoT-enabled solutions. CWD will contribute its expertise in wireless communication modules and integrated IoT solutions, while Digismart Network will handle integration, implementation, and deployment on the ground.
The end-to-end solution is expected to enhance energy efficiency, improve service delivery, and support sustainability goals. “This collaboration underscores CWD’s commitment to driving innovation in IoT and contributing to India’s digital transformation initiatives,” said a company spokesperson. The partnership reflects both companies' strategic intent to expand their presence in India’s growing IoT and smart energy sectors.
