Captain Polyplast, a leading manufacturer and exporter of micro irrigation solutions, has received a letter of acceptance (LoA) from Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company for empanelment under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM scheme in Gujarat.
This empanelment authorises CPL to supply off-grid standalone solar photovoltaic water pumping systems, marking a significant advancement in its diversification into the solar EPC segment. Component-B of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) focuses on reducing farmers’ reliance on grid and diesel-powered irrigation through the deployment of standalone solar pumps. The scheme is aimed at promoting renewable energy adoption in agriculture.
Commenting on the development, Mr. Ritesh Khichadia, Whole Time Director at CPL, stated, “The empanelment under Component-B of the PM-KUSUM scheme represents a strategic step in our journey to expand into the clean energy space.” He emphasized the company's commitment to sustainable, tech-driven agricultural solutions and noted the strengthened position of CPL’s solar EPC business.
The move is expected to unlock consistent revenue streams through government-led initiatives, boost capacity utilization, and enhance CPL’s footprint across domestic and international markets, supporting its long-term growth strategy.
