Casino Group of
Hotels has plans to invest Rs.200 crore in three new properties. The group
would set up a beach resort in Karnataka and a forest lodge at Tamil
Nadu-Kerala border. Further, it plans to develop a heritage property at a tile
factory in Kerala.
The group plans
to construct a resort at Om Beach near Gokarn in coastal Karnataka. The resort,
which would be built in a simple but comfortable style, would follow the
architecture of the local villages.
The forest lodge
project at Munnar, on the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border, would have 20-30 ‘tea
bungalows’ built in colonial style amid tea gardens. Tented accommodation with
modern amenities would be set up in the forest area. Wooden suites would be
built in heritage style.
A factory at Kollam
would be converted into a heritage property, with the construction of 30 rooms within
the factory premises.
The Casino group
is also building a palace hotel at Palakkad, Kerala. The heritage property with
18 rooms would offer the lifestyle of the Maharajas of the region and ayurveda services.
