Indian Hotels Company (IHCL), has signed a framework agreement to expand its Ginger brand with the addition of seven new hotels in key cities in North India.
This agreement is part of IHCL’s strategy to grow its presence, with the seven hotel sites including both greenfield and brownfield developments. The first step in this expansion has already begun with the opening of the 59-key Ginger Gurugram, Sector 1, in Palam Vihar, Haryana. The new properties under this agreement will contribute over 1,000 keys, with locations spanning Jaipur, Agra, Mathura, Vrindavan, Hisar, and Karnal, all through fully fitted lease arrangements.Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate & Development, IHCL said, “This framework agreement for multi-hotel development with Rajdarbar Group reflects the wide spread potential for the Ginger brand across metros, state capitals, commercial centres, industrial townships, pilgrimage destinations and leisure circuits.”
Dr. Rakesh Kumar Garg, founder of Rajdarbar, a leading real estate developer behind commercial projects like Global Foyer GCR and Global Foyer Palam Vihar in Gurugram, expressed excitement about the partnership. This initiative marks a significant milestone in both IHCL’s and Rajdarbar’s growth plans in the hospitality sector.
