The Centre has approved the establishment of MSME Extension Centres in Anantapur and Vizianagaram, aimed at boosting industrial growth in Andhra Pradesh.
This initiative aligns with the state's ‘One Family - One Entrepreneur’ program, led by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, to promote MSMEs. Minister for MSME, Kondapalli Srinivas, highlighted that these centres will provide crucial support including technology, skilling, incubation, and consultancy services, strengthening the MSME ecosystem. Tammireddy Siva Sankara Rao, Chairman of APMSME Development Corporation, emphasised that the centres would bridge the technology gap for micro enterprises in Rayalaseema and North Coastal Andhra, helping them compete globally. The extension centres also contribute to the state’s broader vision of Swarna Andhra @2047.
In addition, the government is fast-tracking the development of MSME parks in each Assembly constituency, offering affordable land and infrastructure to foster startups and high-tech enterprises.
