Century Textiles & Industries has planned to set up
a cement grinding plant in north Bengal. The company has submitted a formal
proposal to the state government for land.
The location for the project is being identified
as Malda and is expected to receive approval from the government by May 2006.
The company is planning to invest Rs.200 crore in
the cement plant, having a grinding capacity of 1.5 million tpa.
Currently, Century Textiles has three cement
plants called Century Cement (Chhattisgarh), Maihar Cement (MP) and Manickgarh
Cement (Maharashtra).
