Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai concluded his eight-day visit to Japan and South Korea from August 22-29, aimed at attracting foreign investment.
The delegation held ‘Chhattisgarh Investor Connect’ events in Tokyo, Osaka, and other major cities, presenting the state’s new industrial policy and highlighting its cultural heritage. Chhattisgarh was the only state to provide all investor information in Japanese, which received positive feedback.
CM Sai said the tour would help the state benefit from the Rs six lakh crore investment expected in India over the next decade, following Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Japan visit.
The visit yielded six investment proposals across food processing, skill development, environmental protection, electronics, and electric vehicles, promising employment for local youth and better returns for farmers. In South Korea, Chhattisgarh signed an MoU with ICCKE as a knowledge partner for skill development and technology transfer.
