Cosmo First has commenced operations of a new biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film manufacturing line at its Aurangabad facility in Maharashtra, significantly expanding its production capacity.
With an annual rated capacity of 81,200 tpa, the new line is expected to increase the company’s overall BOPP manufacturing capacity by 40 percent, taking the total from approx. 1,95,800 tpa to 2,77,000 tpa. The expansion marks a strategic move by Cosmo First to strengthen its leadership position in the flexible packaging industry, catering to rising domestic and global demand for high-quality BOPP films used in packaging, labeling, and industrial applications.
The Aurangabad facility is among the company’s most advanced plants and serves as a key hub for innovation and scale. This capacity enhancement aligns with Cosmo First's long-term growth strategy, enhancing operational efficiency, market responsiveness, and revenue potential in the packaging sector.
