ELITe, Ester Industries’ India joint venture with Loop Industries, has awarded the detailed engineering contract for the Infinite Loop India project to Toyo Engineering India. 

This follows the successful completion of the front-end engineering design (FEED) by Tata Consulting Engineers. Toyo Engineering will handle the detailed design, procurement engineering, and technical documentation for the project. The Infinite Loop India manufacturing facility will have an annual production capacity of 70,000 tonne of PET resin, aimed at serving the growing demand in the packaging and textile sectors. The facility is on track for completion by the end of 2027.  

The JV has also secured a multi-year offtake agreement with Nike, which will be the anchor customer for the facility. This marks a significant step forward in the development of sustainable PET resin production in India.
