Ester Industries and Canada’s Loop Industries will jointly invest Rs 1,600 crore to set up a recycling-focused polyester facility in Gujarat.
The joint venture, Ester Loop Infinite Technologies (ELITe), will be developed on 90 acres in Dahej, with the commissioning of phase one expected by end-2027. Both firms will hold equal stakes, contributing Rs 500 crore jointly, while the remaining funds will be secured through bank loans.
According to Ester Industries Chairman Arvind Singhania, the land acquisition will be completed by 2025. He noted, "These developments validate the strength of our vision to create a world-class hub for circular polyester in India."
The venture also aligns with global collaborations, including Hyosung TNC, to expand recycled polyester’s reach into international apparel and textile markets. Ester Industries, a leader in polyester chips, films, and specialty polymers, already caters to FMCG packaging, textiles, automotive, electronics, and adhesives.
