Nearly ten years after it was shelved, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is reconsidering plans for connecting Dwarka and Gurgaon via metro.

The proposed 12 km corridor will link Yashobhoomi station in Dwarka Sector-25 on the Airport Express Line to IFFCO Chowk on the Delhi-Jaipur Expressway. En route, it will pass through Bharthal, Bijwasan, Carterpuri, and Tau Devi Lal Park in Sector 23, with an interchange at Sector 23 under Gurugram Metro Rail’s corridor. If implemented, the extension would provide seamless access from Dwarka to key hubs like Udyog Vihar, Cyber City, Hero Honda Chowk, Subhash Chowk, and Sector 44’s IT and industrial clusters, while also addressing the travel gap for air passengers.

Earlier DPRs prepared in 2011 and 2015 were dropped due to viability concerns. Now, both this corridor and the Rezang La Chowk–Dwarka Sector 21 line are under government review. Final approval by Haryana and the Union government will decide feasibility, with DPRs to determine costs, ridership, and funding paths.
