The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Bhaane Group, a subsidiary of Shahi Exports, the largest apparel manufacturer. This partnership aims to launch incubation programmes that will support startups in the apparel manufacturing sector and other production areas while fostering connections with international startup ecosystems.

Sanjiv, Joint Secretary of DPIIT, commented on the collaboration, stating, “This collaboration serves a greater good – to nurture a thriving entrepreneurial spirit and strengthen India’s manufacturing landscape. By facilitating connections between startups and established players like Bhaane Group, we foster a mutually beneficial environment where innovation flourishes and Indian businesses achieve global success."

As per DPIIT, Bhaane Group’s vast experience will provide valuable market insights to emerging startups, helping them understand foreign markets and receive guidance throughout the startup lifecycle. Additionally, this collaboration is part of DPIIT’s broader mission to support the startup ecosystem in India.
