DS Constructions has won the 260 MW
Kutehr hydropower project in Himachal Pradesh for development on BOT basis. The
project, valued at Rs.1,058 crore is located in Chamba district.
Confirming the development, company officials told ProjectsToday that work on
the project is targeted for completion within seven years from the date of
attaining financial closure. The project has a concession period of 40 years
including construction period.
The company had quoted an up-front
payment of Rs.52 lakh per MW to win the bid. The minimum upfront fee payable for
the project is Rs.10 lakh per MW. The state government has the reserved right to
opt for equity participation in the project up to 40 percent.
