Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) has invited bids to engage a consultant for assessing the techno-commercial feasibility of green hydrogen and carbon capture projects in the Damodar Valley, covering West Bengal and Jharkhand.

The four-month assignment includes multiple deliverables, starting with adetailed work plan, followed by a comprehensive domestic and global market and ecosystem assessment. The consultant will analyse India’s hydrogen demand-supply dynamics, grey hydrogen consumption in key industrial clusters like steel, fertilizers, and transport. Technical scoping will define project concepts, production capacity, renewable energy requirements, water usage, grid integration, and technology selection for electrolysers and balance-of-plant systems.Workshops will identify key challenges and pathways for decarbonization, with a final deliverable on CO2 capture valorization via green hydrogen.

The closing date for bid submission is 31 January, 2026.
