The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is advancing its Phase-IV expansion to improve urban connectivity. Currently, the Delhi Metro spans over 395 km, including the Noida Metro Aqua Line and Rapid Metro Gurugram, covering 289 stations across 12 corridors.
Under Phase 4, Metro services have begun on the Janakpuri West-Krishna Park Extension section, a 2.8 km stretch of the Magenta Line Extension. The entire project is expected to be completed by 2026, adding 44 new stations across three key corridors: Maujpur to Majlis Park with 12.318 km comprising eight stations, enhancing connectivity in North and East Delhi with stations like Bhajanpura, Khajuri Khas, and Burari.
Krishna Park Extension to Ramakrishna Ashram Marg will span 26.462 km, with 21 stations, covering areas such as Paschim Vihar, Pitampura, Azadpur, and Sadar Bazar. Delhi Aerocity to Tughlakabad, a 23.622 km stretch with 15 stations will improve access to South Delhi, including Vasant Kunj, Chhatarpur, and Khanpur.
The Phase-IV project aligns with DMRC’s long-term vision to enhance Delhi’s public transport system, supporting sustainable urban mobility.
