Thai hospitality major Dusit International has announced plans to expand its presence in India, introducing luxury and upper-midscale brands.

The expansion follows the soft opening of dusitD2 Fagu near Shimla in December, 2024, and the signing of three major properties in Karnataka, including the Devarana Sakleshpur, a Dusit Retreat, set to open in 2028, and two new Dusit Princess Hotels & Resorts. 

As part of this strategic expansion, Dusit Princess properties will debut in Raipur with 200 keys, Bhiwadi with 165 keys, Kolkata with 220 keys, and Lonavala with 120 keys. Additionally, the Dusit Collection brand will launch two boutique luxury hotels in Kasol and Manali, Himachal Pradesh, each featuring 40 rooms. 

The dusitD2 Fagu near Shimla has had a strong start since opening in December, 2024, particularly due to its banquet facilities, which cater to wedding events with a capacity of 400-500 guests.
