Eastern Coalfields (ECL) has issued a tender for the extraction of virgin coal seams at Nimcha Colliery, Satgram-Sripur area in West Bengal.
The contract involves underground mining using the Bord & Pillar (B&P) method with continuous miner technology. The scope includes both development and final extraction operations, with reduced pillar size to optimise coal recovery. This initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency and maximise coal output while maintaining safety standards. The tender is part of ECL’s broader strategy to modernise mining operations and adopt advanced mechanised technologies in its coalfields.
The work is estimated at Rs 1,487.48 crore. ECL emphasises compliance with environmental, safety, and labor regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Interested bidders must submit their proposals by the closing date on 20 September, 2025.
