Kolkata based East India Hotels (EIH) which owns the Trident brand, is
planning to add nearly 750 hotel rooms to its existing inventory of over 1,800
rooms in the next two-and-a-half years.
These new rooms are likely to be part of the upcoming projects in Hyderabad
(Andhra Pradesh), Bangalore and Dehradun (Uttarakhand).
EIH is likely to have 16 per cent ownership in the Hyderabad property where
Golden Jubilee Hotels is its partner and 26 per cent in the hotel near the
Bangalore International Airport where it is collaborating with L&T. However, the
Dehradun venture is under a management contract.
