Wyndham Hotels &Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchisor, plans to make India its rapidly growing priority region.
As per the company executives Dimitris Manikis, President, EMEA, and Rahool Macarius, Managing Director, Eurasia, Wyndham already operates more than 70 hotels nationwide and has an active development pipeline exceeding 50 properties, putting the Group on track to surpass the 100 hotel milestone soon. Flagship brand Ramada remains its best known name in India, yet the company intends to introduce additional flags, including La Quinta by Wyndham and Registry Collection Hotels, through a newly announced alliance with Cygnett Hotels & Resorts.
Wyndham’s 25 brand portfolio—ranging from economy Super8 and Days Inn to upscale Trademark Collection and Wyndham—will be matched to specific Indian markets as they mature. The company reiterated its faith in India’s macro fundamentals and fast-growing middle class.
