The MMRDA aims to complete work on 18 skywalks in Mumbai by end-May 2010.
Of the 18 projects, 10 are partially completed and eight skywalks are 90 per
cent completed. A cost of Rs 121 crore has been spent on the eight skywalks
while an additional Rs 122 crore has
Skywalks at Andheri (East), Vile Parle (West), Vasai Road, Kandivali (East),
Grant Road (West), Bhandup (West), Ambarnath (West) and Kalyan (West) are
processing speedily to finish the flooring and hand railing.
The 10 partially completed skywalks include Dahisar (East & West), Borivali
(West), Santacruz (West & East), Bandra (West), Badlapur (East), Ulhasnagar
(West), Ghatkopar (West), and Chembur.
